Bonfleur was created out of necessity. Founder Amy Risch, a biologist and chemical engineer, suffered from chronic pain of arthritis after many years of working hard with her hands remodeling, gardening, and beekeeping. She soon became aware that the people around her were struggling to manage pain, too.
It was clear that the market was lacking in natural, effective options for pain management without the side effects of traditional pharmaceuticals.
After several years of exploration into a variety of treatments, all with pros and cons, Risch began growing and making medicine with cannabis in 2015. She shared her blends with friends and family and a groundswell of interest blossomed. She founded Hana Medicinals in 2016 for the Oregon recreational market and in 2019, Bonfleur. Bonfleur offers CBD versions of her award-winning products, available in all 50 states.
This family business is dedicated to helping people feel better through the power of plants, and we couldn’t be more grateful for this opportunity.
